Description:
The Adtran NetVanta 4430 is an advanced enterprise level router meant for large offices. As a multi-service router, the NetVanta 4430 offers support for Internet access, MPLC, frame relay, VPN, and other connections to the WAN. The Adtran 1700630G1 has been built specifically to take advantage of large bandwidth applications as the router offers support for up to eight T1 connections. The Adtran NetVanta 4430 can also support up to a 750 Mbps carrier Ethernet connection.
The Adtran 4430 has number standard and advanced features that make the router a powerful network tool. The NetVanta 4430 has built in support for a Stateful Inspection Firewall. The router also has built in support as a wireless access controller, supporting the use of Wireless Access Points (WAPs) to provide Wi-Fi and wireless access to the network. Quality of Service (QoS) is provided for managing network traffic prioritization. The NetVanta 1700630G1 also has support for IPSec virtual private networking. The 1700630G1 has built in support for Voice Quality Monitoring, making it an ideal router for a converged traffic network.
The NetVanta 4430 has three Network Interface Module (NIM) slots in the back of the chassis. Two of the slots are standard NIM slots while one is a "wide module" that can support an Octal T1/E1 module for high bandwidth applications. An additional pair of Gigabit Ethernet ports support LAN segmentation for the network.
