FreeZone Freeze Dry Systems use a refrigerant, which is environmentally safe. The refrigerant is non-flammable and contains no ozone-damaging chlorfluorocarbons (CFCs). The upright stainless steel collector chamber efficiently removes water and simplifies the defrosting process. The CFC-free refrigeration system cools collector to -50°C (-58°F). Epoxy coated steel cabinet with work surface and leveling feet.
The LCD readout indicates vacuum, collector temperature and alarm messages. The LCD vacuum and temperature "waves" illuminate amber when vacuum and temperature levels are out of range for adding samples. The illumination changes to green when conditions are right to add samples. Automatic start-up switch with manual override for collector cool down and vacuum pull down. The 4.5L model includes a permanently installed 10-port drying chamber and a 1/3hp refrigerated system.
